
Follow these steps to ensure your lyrics appear correctly and in sync on Spotify, Instagram, and other platforms through Musixmatch.
1. Create and Verify Your Musixmatch Artist Account

Sign Up for Musixmatch Pro:
Go to https://artists.musixmatch.com and sign up for a free account. The free plan allows you to add and sync your lyrics easily. -
Claim Your Artist Profile:

In the “Roster” section, click on “Add Artist.”

Paste the link to your Spotify artist profile and fill in the required details.

Verification Process:

Musixmatch will review your request to verify your artist identity.

You’ll usually receive confirmation via email within a few business days.

2. Add and Edit Your Lyrics

Find or Add Your Song:

In the “Roster” tab, locate your song.

If it’s not listed yet, go to “Music” > “Add missing release” to add it manually. It may take up to 48 hours for the song to appear.

Enter Your Lyrics:

Click the “Lyrics” tab to input your lyrics.

Use correct spelling, punctuation, and capitalization.

Write repeated lines in full — avoid using “x2” or similar abbreviations.

Submit for Publishing:

Hit the “Send” button to submit your lyrics.

Changes may take a few days to show on Spotify and other platforms.

3. Sync Your Lyrics

Connect Your Spotify Account:

Musixmatch may ask you to connect your Spotify account to automatically access your song’s audio file.

Sync Each Line:

Go to the “Sync” tab to match each line of lyrics to its correct timestamp.

Focus on the lead vocals only — avoid syncing background vocals.

Publish Your Synced Lyrics:

Click “Send” once syncing is done.

It may take a few days for synced lyrics to appear on streaming platforms.

4. Visibility on Instagram & Other Platforms

Instagram Stories: Once your lyrics are synced, they’ll automatically appear when fans use the Instagram music sticker to share your song.

Other Streaming Platforms: Musixmatch also distributes your lyrics to Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Shazam, and more.

Accuracy Matters: Double-check your lyrics for typos or errors. Incorrect lyrics may not be published.
